Glenview’s Gallery Park was transformed into Statford-upon-Avon on the afternoons of Aug. 24 and 25.

Or, to be more precise, it became The Forest of Arden, the setting for William Shakespeare’s romantic comedy “As You Like It” that was performed by CenterStage in Lake Forest.

Following the script of Shakespeare, who took his own company on the road in the summers to escape the heat of London, CenterStage Director Barbara Anderson is presenting an adaptation of “As You Like It” in a tour of outdoor venues up and down the North Shore.
